AC MASH Up

As if they don’t get enough time behind their 5Ds during the work week, Nick and Jason spent this past Sunday shooting a Twin Peaks Hill Climb, commemorating the 1-year anniversary of MASH Transit’s SF bike gear shop. Chas Christianson of TCB Courier (who AC profiled earlier this year for the Mission Map Project) designed the insane race format, and some of the fastest riders in the country turned out to compete. It was a gorgeous day, and our guys got some great shots of all the action.

Looking at their selects, you can see that Nick and Jason have very different personal shooting styles. And I would say that is a big part of what makes them such a strong team.

Nick: “I love shooting action. It’s something about only having those few moments to grab the best shot possible. In a race, there are no second chances, just the reaction to the actions.”

Jason: ” I like to take my time when shooting photos. This can be problematic when you’re trying to document a race. At the MASH Transit Store and up on Twin Peaks, at one of the checkpoints, I put myself where the pace was slow and people had time to breath.”
