AC Friday Five: A Kick Off

Today I’m kicking off AC’s weekly Friday Five.

We’re constantly sharing interesting news, videos, and local events internally. Every Friday I’ll be clueing you in on five topics that piqued out interest during the week.

Our Friday Five kicks off with a terrific design conference held in SF this week. TYPO Design Talks is an international affair. San Francisco is the first US city to host the TedTalk style presentations from the worlds most prominent graphic designers, typographers, and artists (Including our friend Heath Kessler of The Bold Italic). We hope they share videos of the talks on their website soon, because we were unfortunately out of town during the conference.

An interesting read on Bloomberg regarding Groupon’s internal controls ‘scandal’.

Williams-Sonoma taps into the urban farming market with their latest venture Agrarian

While we were down in San Diego this week we started a heathy addiction to Julian Bakery breads. Their Breakfast Bread is cinnamon apple deliciousness and the Purity Bread is vegan, making it Jason’s favorite.

After visiting The Bold Italic’s new space last week, I’m hooked on Kelly Malone. I’m going to visit her Workshop in hopes of gaining some of her interior design superpowers. It can happen! Right?

That’s it for today. I’ll see you back here next Friday!
